How to do that if Segway Drift W1 battery over discharge because of no use for a long time?
Over-discharging may prevent the vehicle from starting. If the Drift W1’s are stored without use or charging for a long time, attach the charger for at least 4 hours. If the Drift W1’s do not power-up after this, please contact Technical Support.
Can I disassemble the Segway Drift W1 battery?
No. Do not attempt to dissemble the Segway Drift W1’s. This will void the warranty. There are no user-serviceable components inside the Drift W1’s. Please contact Technical Support for troubleshooting or repair.
How long should I / do I need to charge the Segway Drift W1 the first time?
It should reach full charge quickly when charging the Segway Drift W1’s for the first time. A long charge cycle is not required. The indicator light on the charger is red when charging and it will turn green when at full charge.
Can both Segway Drift W1 be charged at the same time?
The Segway Drift W1 standard charger can charge two Drift W1 units at the same time.
Do low temperatures affect the performance of the Segway Drift W1?
Low temperatures affect the battery and can reduce the performance by as much as 50% and may also cause power-down of the vehicles.
Where should I ride the Segway Drift W1?
Segway Drift W1 is only suitable for smooth surfaces, free of debris, cracks or imperfections. Recommended surfaces include closed roads, parks, playgrounds, gymnasiums, courts, etc.
here is a very simple re-calibration procedure that will reset your e-Skate.
- Power off
- Set the e-Skate upside down on a level surface
- Power on
- The unit will beep and the wheel will begin turning slowly in alternating directions
- Power off
- Set the e-Skate right side up
- Power on. The e-Skate should be re-calibrated and function properly
- You may need to repeat this procedure multiple times to get a full calibration
